Today, the broadcaster will broadcast a live concert of the famous Japanese singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, performing in the genre of J-pop, will show archival recordings from the opening of the London 2012 Olympiad, as well as a symphony concert based on the works of Beethoven under the direction of conductor Seiji Ozawa. NHK will broadcast in 8K format from 10 am to 5 pm inclusive. Due to the fact that even in Japan, no one has the equipment suitable for receiving this kind of television signal, NHK has installed special giant screens throughout the country so that the public can enjoy the picture of incredible quality.
