NextEV, one of the automakers participating in Formula-E car racing (this is a racing class in which pilots drive electric cars only), presented the NIO EP9 electric supercar, which recently, on November 4, set a new world record after passing the French Circuit Paul circuit Ricard in 1 minute and 52.78 seconds, beating the previous track record in 2 minutes.
The world's fastest electric car NIO EP9 carries 4 autonomous engines with a total capacity of 1 megawatt. Each engine is equipped with its own gearbox. Acceleration to 200 kilometers per hour is carried out in 7.1 seconds, and the maximum speed is 313 kilometers per hour. Batteries allow you to overcome a distance of 430 kilometers without recharging, and if you still need it, it will take no more than 45 minutes to recharge a fully discharged battery.

The body of the car is almost completely made of light carbon fiber, and the shape of the body provides downforce in 24 thousand Newtons. By the way, the presser force norm for the “elder brother”, namely for Formula 1, is the force of “only” 13 thousand Newtons. According to the founder of NextEV, William Lee,
“NIO EP9 was created in order to push the limits of the possibilities of the modern automotive industry, but it is only the first of the future NIO car series. We hope that over time, the possibilities of electric cars will catch up and surpass the capabilities of conventional cars, after which the electric choice will become the natural choice of most people. ”
NextEV really does make great bets on its development and even released a stylish demo video in which NIO EP9 sets another record for its class cars on the world-famous Nürburgring.
