Voice assistants can be embedded not only in expensive cars, but also in motorcycles. At least that's what they think in the leadership of the famous Japanese corporation Kawasaki Heavy Industries. Today, this company produces industrial robots, jet skis, tractors, trains, and even airplanes, but motorcycles still occupy a very important place in the Kawasaki product line. And the next generation of bikes can easily acquire its own artificial intelligence, like JARVIS from the movie “Iron Man”.
Why does a motorcycle need artificial intelligence? The fact is that the manufacturer cares about the safety of motorcyclists. Many bikers often neglect the elementary rules of safety, and nothing about the observance of the speed limit. It is here that artificial intelligence comes into play, which can explain to the motorcycle owner with a simple human language what is fraught with such reckless behavior. At certain moments, when AI will understand that it is impossible to reach a person, he can even go to the trick and remind him that his child has a birthday soon, thereby making him think about his family and stop risking his life.
Kawasaki engineers and programmers strive to improve the emotional connection between the motorcyclist and his “iron horse”, as if in the old television series Knight Rider (1982), where the smart car KITT constantly communicated with his driver by David Actor Hasselhoff. The system has the working name “Emotion Generation Engine and Natural Language Dialogue”, and is being developed by specialists from Cocoro SB Corp, a member of the SoftBank group. The latter, by the way, has eaten more than one dog on artificial intelligence, so the experience of its specialists is quite rich.
While communicating with a motorcyclist, artificial intelligence will form their own unique personality. And even its creators do not know what the personal assistant will become in the end - it all depends on its owner. But one thing is 100% sure: in a stressful or dangerous situation, artificial intelligence will support and guide the driver of a motorcycle, which is more likely to save lives. But life, as you know, is the most expensive thing we have.
