Specialists of the Tekhnodinamika domestic concern are developing a new generation armchair for pilots. The newest seats can save the lives of many pilots. The pilot will be able to leave the plane even during takeoff and landing.


Due to the newest automation, the height of the ejection seat is reduced. Now the pilot can eject even on the surface of the earth, for example during an accident during takeoff or landing. In addition to the new catapult, experts are developing a compensatory suit for pilots of aircraft and test pilots so that people in the sky could better tolerate the experienced overloads.

If earlier pneumopillows compressed the pilot's legs and abdomen, preventing blood from flowing out of the head and losing consciousness, then the new suit covers the arms, ensuring the tolerance of ninefold accelerations for 30-40 seconds. Introduced proactive protection operation: after receiving information from the onboard computer, the suit is inflated before the overload occurs. According to one of the designers of new devices, Sergei Pozdnyakov,

“Both fragile women and tall men can work in our chair: the weight of pilots is in the range from 45 to 110 kg. The “intelligence” of the automation system has been strongly developed: thanks to the built-in sensors, the parachute entry is accurately determined even in the absence of information about flight speed from the aircraft’s on-board systems at the time of the ejection. In a stressful situation, the sensation of height and spatial position is lost, a person does not have time to make the right decision and realize it. We need automatics that will analyze the situation and give a rescue command for the pilot in a critical situation. ”
