Designed "not killed" drone with bending frame

Even if you manage your quadrocopter very well, is there always a danger of breaking it, what about new ones? A battery crashed and the device crashed down, blew a strong wind and slammed a drone into the wall, lost control and hit the gadget on the asphalt - there are many situations after which you will most likely be assembling your aircraft in parts, or simply throw it away its in the trash. Apparently, engineers from the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne, located in Switzerland, are also not very good at controlling aircraft, since they decided to make a quadrocopter with a flexible and elastic frame capable of withstanding even very terrible blows and shocks.

The developers of the flexible aircraft inspired by insects. Indeed, even after hitting a glass or wall, small creatures do not get very upset and just continue to fly farther. Therefore, the engineers have created a drone frame of thin glass fiber frames, fixed in the middle with a magnet. During the flight, it tightly holds the frame, protecting it from vibrations, but in a collision it “releases” the flexible structure, allowing it to bend in an arbitrary shape and thus absorb the impact. As soon as the drone fell, the magnet again connects the structure, after which the device can fly again.
