Dell's mixed reality headset will appear in October

The device is called Dell Visor. It is intended for use with the Microsoft Mixed Reality platform actively promoted by Microsoft and will be sold as early as October 2017 at a price of $ 350 for the base and $ 450 for a set with two controllers.

At the moment, no "mixed reality" on the headsets did not show, although they are equipped with cameras located on the front panel of the visors. This means that by hardware they will still be able to support not only virtual, but also augmented reality.

On the filling of the device is still known quite a bit, but the developers report that the resolution of the headset will be 1440 × 1440 pixels.

The Verge correspondent was given a hold of the demo sample, but it was not included, so the journalists of the publication were only able to appreciate the design and convenience of the gadget. According to them, Dell engineers thought out many things well. The headset, for example, very quickly, you can raise the "visor" with displays, if necessary.

Despite the fact that the manufacturer initially positioned its headset as an affordable and budget option, the announced price is far from previous statements, because it is quite comparable with the cost of other VR headsets. But, on the other hand, Dell will be able to work not only with VR, but also with augmented reality.
