Porsche is going to release the Mission E electric car in 2020

Концепт электромобиля Mission E. Финальный дизайн может отличаться.

The Volkswagen subsidiary has cherished its first all-electric electric car for years and, it seems, the development of the new product is in full swing. In order to meet the deadline, Porsche even invited about one and a half thousand new employees, who should help in the implementation of their plans.

Reuters news agency reports that the new product will delight the owner not only with a stylish design, but also with outstanding features, one of which is inductive charging of the car's batteries. Beauty Mission E will be able to recharge the batteries right on the road, and to put the car in charge in the garage, the driver will need only to drive to a special dock, after which the car itself will begin to replenish the capacity of the batteries. Wireless chargers are now in vogue, and, apparently, Mission E will be able to use them in certain places.

In a radius of 100 kilometers there is no dock? No problem! You can always recharge your batteries in an old-fashioned way, using a regular station or even a home power grid. In just 15 minutes, your new Porsche will charge up to 80% and be able to drive 400 kilometers. According to the developers, the full charge for Mission E is not a problem to cover a distance of 500 kilometers, which is a little more than Tesla Model S can do - its record is about 430 kilometers on a single charge.

Mission E accelerates to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3 seconds, which is not at all surprising - the car will be equipped with two engines, whose power is 600 horsepower! The car battery was placed in the bottom along the entire length, which allowed it to competently and efficiently distribute its weight.

It seems that such a car has everything you can think of, but no. Something is missing - exterior mirrors! Their role is performed by displays that are located in the lower part of the windshield. The image on them is transmitted from the cameras with which they plan to hang the car properly. Other cameras inside the cabin will be able to track the movements of the driver’s eyes and allow him to drive a car more efficiently: in order to activate a function or turn on the device, the driver will just have to look at it and confirm his intentions by pressing a button.

The price of the car has not yet been reported, but it seems that the cost of the Mission E will be much more expensive than an electric LADA Vesta EV.
