The difficult story of one of these gamers, Richie Marone, began when he was 23 years old. At this age, he was diagnosed with diabetic retinopathy as a complication of type 1 diabetes. Diabetic retinopathy, developing, can cause deterioration and loss of vision, which is what happened with the young guy. Despite this, he and his wife, Mandy, continued to lead an active lifestyle: they traveled, attended cinemas and concerts, but the couple had to forget about joint video games.

But with the release of the Nintendo Switch, the couple could once again enjoy this entertainment. The fact is that the console controllers, called Joy-Con'ami, built an extremely interesting technology called HD Rumble, which allows you to feel not just the "buzz" of the vibration motor, but to pick up a different power and nature of vibration. On the Nintendo Switch, there is even a game, during which, relying on the hearing and tactile sensations from the controller, it is necessary to determine how many balls (of course, not real, this is an illusion created by the game) "rolls" inside the joystick. In general, it was such games from the 1-2 Switch package that helped the couple play video games together again, despite the blindness of one of the spouses. As mandy says

“My favorite game right now is Quick Draw (something like a duel simulator in the Wild West). Richie managed to beat me several times because he feels the vibrations well and knows these games. We also enjoy playing Boxing Gym, Safe Crack and Ping Pong. ”
