Flying drones can be a good help for the police and other services. From the air, you can easily track down a criminal, take pictures of a crime scene, or shoot a certain terrain on video. That is why the UK police decided to expand their capabilities through a special unit, which includes experienced operators.
For this, several teams of serving officers underwent special training and, after 18 months of training, began work. Now police officers have DJI Inspire universal drones equipped with thermal imagers and high-resolution cameras. This equipment allows quadrocopters to be used for different tasks, therefore they are already using crime scenes, crashes and monitor protected areas, helping to fight environmental offenses. Now the inhabitants of Devon, Cornwall and Dorset will think carefully before going to the suburban forest belt to roast the meat on the fire - drones do an excellent job with the task of aerial photography, so it has become much easier to identify the violators.
Drones will be able to help in other, much more complex operations, but they also have flaws. For example, they will not be able to perform the tasks assigned to them in strong wind, rain or snowfall.
