At the international exhibition IFA 2017, the Japanese electronics manufacturer Panasonic for the first time demonstrated to the public a prototype of a transparent TV with an OLED matrix. The Japanese themselves call this technology "smart glass." It is still quite difficult to imagine exactly where such panels can be used, because watching TV shows and movies will hardly be convenient. However, experts are confident that in the future they can be integrated into smart furniture, various household appliances, as well as used as interior decorations.
The screen resolution of the transparent TV is 3840 by 2160 pixels, which is equivalent to the Ultra HD standard. The device has all the functions of a full-fledged multimedia center, with the ability to access the Internet, listen to music, as well as recognize voice commands. At the exhibition booth of Panasonic, the TV showed a beautiful demo, and under the device there was an additional screen displaying different animations. Two transparent glass pyramids were also located behind the screen, so that visitors could appreciate the transparency of the panel.
