The LEGO constructor is a wonderful thing. Especially the Technics series. With its help you can build a lot of useful things, easily turning an ordinary toy into something much more necessary. Thanks to the drives, gears and other complex mechanisms available in such sets, some enthusiasts sometimes manage to create completely unimaginable things. Such as a prosthetic arm, for example.
David Aguilar, since childhood, loved to play in LEGO, constantly made from the designer cars, boats, airplanes, robots, and at the age of nine even tried to make himself a robotic arm. The fact is that David was born with an underdeveloped right hand, so he wanted to correct this flaw. But the knowledge of a nine-year-old boy was not enough to create a full-fledged prosthesis, but the idea firmly settled in the guy's head.
The experiment was repeated nine years later, and after he posted a video with the results of work on his channel on YouTube. The new prosthesis was strong enough to perform different tasks, it is able to bend in different directions and even allows Hand Solo - as David himself ironically calls - to hold various objects with the help of a claw.
The prosthesis is made of a set of Air Race Jet, which consists of thousands of small parts. Details regarding the creation process can be seen in the video above.
