Last Tuesday, the head of Facebook Messenger, a popular service from the creators of a well-known social network, announced that he was leaving his post. David Marcus will remain with Facebook, but will take on a new direction for the company. His task will be to find the use of blocking technology in Facebook.

Earlier, Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the company, said that he was studying the use of crypto-currency within the social network. The technology of blockage lies at the heart of bitcoin and many other crypto-currencies.
The news also came amid reorganization inside Facebook. Messenger is now part of what the company called "Family of Apps" along with Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook. All this unit will be headed by the Chief Product Officer Chris Cox. Team Messenger will pass under the direction of the executive director Stan Chudnovsky.
David Marcus started working for Facebook four years ago. He joined the company from PayPal, where he served as president. He is a big fan of crypto currency. Marcus did not disclose details about what ideas currently exist on the subject of using blockage, but it is clear that the potential is very large.
