The new spacecraft Falcon 9 Block 5 with Bangladeshi communication satellite Bangabandhu-1 successfully launched from Cape Canaveral late on Friday night. This launch was the first for the new, the fifth in a modification of the first stage of the rocket. As already mentioned earlier, the updated returned first stage is designed for ten starts without major repair work after returning to Earth, and for a resource of up to 100 starts during subsequent repairs. The previous version provided only two starts.
The advanced stage also meets the requirements of NASA for missiles for manned flights into orbit. In the future, SpaceX plans to use it in conjunction with the Dragon capsule to fulfill the NASA contract for the delivery of astronauts aboard the International Space Station.
